YOU CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  HERE’S HOW….

Action is the foundational key to all success – Pablo Picasso

A Call to Action…From presidential elections to Races for the Cure, to AIDS research and awareness, to the United Way and Habitat for the Humanity, to neighborhood walks, runs, bake sales and car washes, one thing we’ve proven is that as individuals our actions count and we can make a difference. We can make our world better. If you are inspired by Catie’s story or others’ like hers, please join us and take action. Unlocking the enormous promise and potential of Dr. Schmahmann’s research for millions of patients and their families depends on us. With everyone’s help, we can do it. Here’s how:

Action 1: Donate
By donating through MINDlink to Dr. Schmahmann’s Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital, you can help him unlock the enormous promise and potential of the cerebellum and connect it to cures. The Donate tab is a fast, easy and secure way to make a difference.

Action 2: Send an email
Send an email to your friends and family asking them to support Dr. Schmahmann’s groundbreaking research by visiting our website and donating whatever they can. After making a donation, they can send the email to their friends and we can keep the chain of support going!

Action 3: Contact Us
Have you had success raising funds for important causes? Do you have ideas about how we can spread the word about the promise and potential of Dr. Schmahmann’s research? Do you know of other efforts to support finding cures for SCA-related diseases? Tell us about it at cerebellum@mgh.harvard.edu. We want to hear from you!

Action 4: Share ideas; inspire success
The number of ways to raise funds to support Dr. Schmahmann’s research is limited only by our imagination. MINDlink will be happy to highlight your efforts and we appreciate your enthusiasm and support. We invite you to share information about how you are raising funds by clicking on “Join Us” and contributing to “Sharing Your Story” on MINDlink’s Web site.

Action 5: Honor a loved one; share your own story
If you or a loved one have been affected by the debilitating effects of ataxia or other neurodegenerative diseases and would like to share your story or honor a loved one, please do so by clicking on “Join Us” and visiting “In Honor of…” on MINDlink’s Web site. Who knows what your story could inspire?
