Please join me in supporting an extremely important cause to find a cure for a disease that impacts more than six million Americans and their families, including someone important to me. There you can learn about Dr. Jeremy Schmahmann, Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and neurologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, who is an award-winning leader on the cerebellum. His ground-breaking research holds the potential to help better understand, diagnose and treat a range of neurodegenerative diseases that now appear to have a cerebellar link.
Dr. Schmahmann urgently needs private funding now to keep his research team intact while awaiting the outcome of federal grant applications. Going forward, funding is needed to build and support a world-class team of experts. According to Dr. Schmahmann, “Every week we receive requests from highly skilled scientists to join the lab, but there are no funds.
